Graduation Photos in Dunedin, NZ | Natural Graduation Photography

Graduation is one of those moments that feels surreal when it finally arrives. After years of studying, stress, early mornings, deadlines, and trying to survive exam season, you suddenly find yourself walking around in a gown thinking, wait… I actually did it.

It’s such a huge milestone and honestly deserves to be remembered properly.

As a photographer based in Dunedin, I absolutely love graduation season. My husband is a piper, and we never miss an opportunity to see the Dunedin Pipe Band play. There’s always such a good atmosphere around the city, families visiting, friends celebrating together, flowers everywhere. Everyone looks amazing, and I’m honestly obsessed with the gowns!

Growing up in France, graduations were never really celebrated in the same way they are here in New Zealand, so for me it’s such a special event to experience.

One of the best things about graduation photos in Dunedin is the variety of locations we have nearby. Of course, the iconic buildings around University of Otago are always beautiful and timeless, especially if you want that classic Dunedin graduation feel. But I also love mixing things up with spots around the gardens, quieter streets, or even heading down toward the beach for something a little more personal and different.

The years at university go by so quickly, even when they don’t feel like it at the time. Having photos to look back on years from now becomes such a special reminder of this chapter and everything it took to get here.

I met Agnella on her graduation day and I absolutely love how her photos turned out!
